On Wednesday 7th May Mrs Leeming/Miss Foster were learning about how to grow plants. Their class have grown their own plants and discussed their features eg. Roots, seed leaf, stem and stalk. Miss Foster chose some pupils to take out the plants and to give them a wash. The pupils had a plain piece of paper to draw how their plants have grown over one week. The class discussed how plants die and how their live aswell.
Here are some examples from the pupils in the class, they have planted their own plants and have discussed the 'Beanstalk Race'. Some children have estimated which will grow the quickest and next week they will see see who was right. The options were without no sun , no water , no soil and sun, water and soil.

The class also discussed the features on the smart board.

The class discussed the different kinds of roots and features eg. primary roots, radicle , hypocotyl , cotyledons , bean seeds and foliage leaves.

Here is an example from Mark, it is a picture of leaves with a description and it says ' the roots can grow very fast'
